Increasing efficiency and reducing polluting emissions in traditional combustion engines, both diesel and gasoline, is a crucial area of research for the future of sustainable mobility, reducing the environmental impact of transportation. Major research projects underway at the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Bologna are using Tempco’s TCU temperature control units in test benches to regulate the temperature of the fuel within the injection systems and the air drawn into the engine, which is essential for ensuring combustion stability and the repeatability of experimental tests.
